Lending Link was founded in 1997 by Mark Ainsworth under the original name of Australian Capital Securities and in its early years developed a reputation for high quality service delivery and expert advice on all aspects of lending.

Mark's brother, Paul joined the business as a co-principal in 2002 bringing with him extensive property development and acquisition experience as a former analyst with Lend Lease and 4 years as Director of Property with ALDI Foods. 

Brian Barnard joined the company in 2006 after a career of over 24 years in the Victoria Police Force and assumed the role of Group Managing Director in July 2007. Brian retired from the company in December 2011. 

After operating for several years under DIrect Lender Accreditations, Lending Link joined the Australian Finance Group (AFG) in 2008. AFG is Australia's largest aggregator and the third largest in the world and provides our company with access to over 40 of Australia's leading lenders as well as their state-of-the-art loan application software (Flex).

In 2009 Lending Link was recognised by AFG as the "Best New Broker" of the Year and in 2010 won the AFG Master Agent of the Year Gold Broker Award.

Lending Link has settled over $500 million in residential loans and over $500 milion in development funding.
